Introduced in 1948, the Omega Seamaster is one of the longest-running product lines of the brand. The original design was based on the watch designs for the British Royal Navy at the end of the Second World War. With its rich history and robust design, the Omega Seamaster has always remained one of the most loved watches in the world.

The Omega Seamaster has released many amazing models including the Seamaster Aqua Terra, Seamaster Planet Ocean, Railmaster, and the most famous Omega Seamaster 300M models. During the decades, Omega has released a few updated versions of Omega Seamaster 300 models and achieved remarkable success.

Since 1995, the Omega Seamaster has become the watch of choice for Agent 007 in many James Bond movies. It is popularly known as the “Jame Bond watch”.

The brand Omega is one of the most respected watchmakers over the world. Its heritage not only consists of outstanding watches but also a fascinating history along with them.

The origin of Omega was a small watch factory founded by the Swiss watchmaker Louis Brandt in 1848. It started with the production and assembling of pocket watches. In 1903, the Brandt family established the company named Louis Brandt et Frère - Omega Watch & Co. It became one of Switzerland's largest watch companies.

In the 1930s Omega joined hands with Tissot and merged into the S.S.I.H. Group (Société Suisse pour l'Industrie Horlogère). Later in 1983, Omega became a family member of the Swatch Group after the merger of SSIH and a watch movement producer ASUAG. At present, Omega is one of the most sought-after brands of this prestigious company.

When it comes to the Omega Seamaster collection, we should set the date back to 1932 when Omega debuted its first Marine watch. It was first worn by a French navy officer Yves Le Prieur. He was known as the “father of modern diving” who invented the modern scuba mask and tank.

Being recognised by such an important person in marine history, Omega marine watches immediately built its name as an admirable dive watch. These are the legends among the dive watches and are the oldest in the family line of Omega.

Initially, the origin model of Omega Seamaster was the waterproof watch made for the British Royal Navy during World War II. At that time Seamaster had improved its O-ring gasket feature from other Omega diving watches for better water-resistance.

Inspired by the submarines, Omega came up with the final design of the first official Omega Seamaster. The watch features a resilient rubber gasket with a watch case that is resistant up to 60 meters water depths and temperature ranging between -40 degrees and 50 degrees in Celsius.

In 1956, to test its durability, the engineers of Omega attached one of the Seamaster watches to the outside of an aircraft that flew to the North Pole. The test was a great success and received very positive response on the market.

Over the years, the Seamater introduced a wide range of new models with the latest innovations and technology. The water resistance of Seamaster is now up to 150m, 300m and 600m depth.

Omega Seamaster 300

In 1957, Omega released some legendary models including the Omega Speedmaster and the Omega Seamaster 300M with reference CK2913.

The CK2913 Seamaster 300 watch is a great improvement from the previous models. Although it is not the first of the Seamaster line, it is considered as a milestone of the legacy of the honorable Omega diver watch.

In 2014 Omega Seamaster 300 has released another updated version incorporating the most advanced innovations that Omega could offer. The stainless steel case comes with a scratch-proof sapphire crystal that makes its water resistance up to 300 meters.

The 2014 Seamaster 300 is said to be sporty and technical to some watch lovers. In 2021, Omega released another revamp on the influential watch model. The 2021 Seamaster comes with the model 234.32.41.21.01.001 with black dial on leather strap, and the model 234.30.41.21.03.001 with blue dial on steel bracelet.

The recent Omega Seamaster 300m watch is so refined and functional with the latest innovations. Omega did an excellent job at taking the balance to the professional tool watch application on the watch while modifying its look at the same time.

One of its most popular models is its Omega Seamaster 210.30.42.20.03.001 launched in 2018. It is a definitive  Omega diver watch with the familiar wave pattern on the dial. The blue bezel and dial with the sporty built surely turn heads. It is a beautiful watch crafted with Omega’s cutting edge technology.
