Conquest VHP Watches
The Conquest VHP sports a bezel that smoothly blends in with its stainless-steel casing. Every Longines creation, including the Conquest VHP lives up to the company’s mantra, ‘Elegance is an attitude’. The design employs the Guilloche engraving technique to achieve the precise, intricate outlook that makes the Longines a hit with those who value attention to detail.
Every Conquest VHP is made with the rare sapphire for enhanced scratch resistance and durability as hard as diamonds. It is also layered to prevent reflectiveness to disturb your use of the watch on a sunny day.
Take the Conquest VHP GMT Flash setting, a watch designed for frequent travellers, who wake in one time zone and sleep in another. This creation of the hourglass brand is a true ambassador of elegance that Longines promises. It features cutting edge dial movement for ease of user experience. The running of the watch is maintained by the Gear Position Detection (GPD) system that is impact-resistant and anti-magnetic. It features a smart crown that automatically adjusts the time to match the relevant time zone. The EOL is extended to guarantee to ensure long usage and a perpetual calendar that incorporates complexities of every yearly calendar till 2399. The Flash setting system of this watch makes it possible to set the time using your smartphone without the need for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or any other form of connection. The watch receives flash pulses and sets the time accordingly through a flash, elegantly concealed in the number 12.
The Conquest VHP GMT comes with the usual features of a Longines Conquest VHP. This edition is blue carved and resistant to discolouration from continued use. The time markers are denoted with the classic and simple Arabic numerals and indexes. The dial of this timepiece features distinctively black & bold hands that offer the user the advantage of knowing the time in different time zones; Greenwich and anywhere else. It can also be paired with your smartphone through Bluetooth to enjoy the GMT/dual time zone function on a digital display.
Another member of this series is the Conquest VHP Perpetual Black. It is made from a stainless-steel casing, plated with a stainless-steel bracelet. This is complemented with a fixed stainless-steel bezel that enhances its aesthetic appeal. The dial bears black hands and markers with luminous effect to ease usage in dark areas. The minute markers on this timepiece can be found on the outer rim. The dial features an analogue display, in the style of the class and style it exudes. It moves in quartz style with the seconds hands, moving in discrete one-second intervals, all in a single tick. The solid case back enhances its water tightness. It features deployment clasp that ensures it fits better, yet releases easier with the push button. It is also water-resistant up to a depth of 50 meters/165 feet.
VHP in the name of this edition stands for Very High Precision and was launched in 2017. This is not to say that the Longines brand is new to the concept of high-end sophistication and precision. This has been their watchword since 1832 when they started producing horological timepieces. The Conquest VHP is a reminder of the old values that have been at the heart of previous Longines’ creations. One of them worthy of mention is the Caliber 276.2, introduced in 1984. This watch used thermocompensation to achieve a rate of plus or minus of 10 seconds per year, something unprecedented at the time. Today, the VHP series builds on this by delivering +/- 5 seconds per year. Before that, they pioneered quartz technology in the 1960s
Through all the pieces that make up the Conquest VHP collection, Longines keeps proving that they are the best brand for the upwardly mobile. Why haven’t you copped yours?
