Rado was not always called Rado. It was founded in 1917 as The Schlup & Co. by Fritz, Ernst and Werner, who were brothers. It wasn’t until the 1950s that the brand name Rado was actually born. A few of their first watch collections were The Golden Horse collection and The Green Horse collection in 1957 and 1958. Rado watches had the world’s first scratch proof watch with the Diastar 1. Throughout the years, as a brand, Piaget is always looking to innovate their watches. They have continued to evolve, transform and produce high quality watches and continue to do so with their collections including Ceramica, D-Star, Diamaster, and more.
