Speedmaster Racing Watches
Remaining loyal to Omega heritage, each fresh Speedmaster model holds within it the essence and aesthetic spirit of the brand history. With the Speedmaster Racing Master Chronometer, this is instantly evident once you see what is a quite magnificent dial. Connected to the Speedmaster’s motor racing pedigree, the unique minute-track look makes a triumphal comeback along with a variety of smart, sophisticated features.
One of the most striking features of the new Omega Speedmaster Racing watch is the alternating minute track, which lends the dial no little racing flair and gives each of the models their nomenclature. In fact, this classic look is informed by the 1968 Speedmaster style that lent improved readability for those lucky enough to wear it. Further special features of the stunning watch dial are the bevelled arrowhead indexes that come coated with Super-LumiNova and larger subdials.
At 44.25mm, these watches are somewhat larger than others in Omega’s roster and they come crafted in exclusive materials including stainless steel and 18K Sedna™ gold, as well as shiny ceramic to craft the gorgeous bezels. As always, the face is protected by sapphire crystal which comes in a refined style to grant the Omega Speedmaster Racing a slimmer look.
The collection's second to none range of bracelets and straps includes a black leather option complete with an orange rubber section that lends things serious modernist flair. Indeed, the micro-perforations that reveal the orange interior were added with the use of what was a specially crafted milling tool for precisely this purpose.
If the outside of these watches is special, the inside is downright magnificent. Powered by a calibre 9900/9901 movement, the watch collection is blessed with the very highest level of Swiss watchmaking precision, performance and magnetic resistance. Indeed, all watches have been approved by the Swiss Federal Institute of Meteorology (METAS).
No matter if your tastes are grand or more mutedly refined, the Omega Speedmaster Racing family can provide you with the perfect timepiece. With materials such as stainless steel, 18K Sedna™ gold, or a combination of both available, the Speedmaster Racing Collection offers a wide variety of matte and brushed watch faces in what are elegantly arresting tones.
The marquee model of the family is the Speedmaster Racing Master Chronometer, which comes in a 44.25 mm stainless steel case with a black bezel that has the unique tachymeter scale in imprinted in orange with Liquidmetal™ numbering. A black leather strap comes micro perforated to show off striking orange rubber on the inside.
The unique racing style minute-track of the dial lends the timepiece its name, whilst there are two subdials that have blackened applied rings in addition to a 6 o’clock date window that offsets the tone of the dial beautifully. In addition, the watch hands come as a blend of orange and white, whereas all arrowhead indexes come in 18K white gold with white Super-LumiNova finishes.
Then there is a wrist watch that is a truly special instalment in the family, the Speedmaster Racing Master Chronometer with 18K Sedna™ gold case on a blue leather strap. This 44.25 mm case acts as the base for a bezel that has a blue ceramic ring and the legendary tachymeter scale in Omega’s own Ceragold™.
A brushed blue dial boasts a unique racing style minute-track whilst there are, in addition, two blue hued subdials that add gravity to the model. Furthermore, the 6 o’clock date window blends beautifully with the overall tone of the dial and the hour and minute hands as well as all arrowhead indexes come in stunning 18K Sedna™ gold with white Super-LumiNova for added readability.
Naturally, this stunning watch is powered by the pioneering Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer 9901, which is certified by METAS at the very highest levels of the horology craft.
Without a doubt, the Omega Speedmaster Racing collection is a rarified collection that blends athletic aesthetics with the brand’s trademark luxury and commitment to the highest standards in Swiss automatic watchmaking.
